We Only Found Mum’s Ashes, Skull – Daughter Of Burnt Kogi PDP Women Leader

DAMMYLINK reports that about twelve days after her death, Eikojonwa Tavershima, daughter of the late Mrs. Salome Abuh, on Friday, painted a gory scenario of how her mother was roasted by suspected political thugs in the Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Recall that the house of the Peoples Democratic Party women Leader was reportedly set ablaze few hours after Governor Yahaya Bello was declared winner of the November 16 governorship election.

Her distraught daughter and first child said that though she was not with her when the killing was perpetrated, “only her ashes and burnt skull were found.”

She spoke during an interview with journalists in Abuja when the Convener of ‘Womanifesto’ and Executive Director of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre, Dr. Abiola Akiyode – Afolabi, led some Nigerian women to protest against the violence against women, including the post-election violence in Kogi State.

During the protest, Akiyode-Afolabi challenged the Federal Governmrnt to “declare state of emergency on violence against women in Nigeria.”

The activist who spoke before the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen, explained that their mission was to present the recommendations arising from the three-day deliberations on women issues in the country and seek justice for the killing of Abuh.

She said, “For the past three days, we gathered at the National Centre for women Development to deliberate on the issue of women. For those three days, women from all walks of life looked at five issues; violence against women, women political participation, women peace and security, sexual and reproductive right as well as women and poverty.’’

Tavershima asked women not to be deterred in participating in politics despite the ugly incident which befell her mother.

She said, “I really sincerely from the depth of our heart appreciate what the women are doing. A lot of them have not met my mother physically. But I see the passion from the way they are all out here crying out for ‘Justice for Salome.’

“Indeed she is my mother and she deserves this. The way she died was uncalled for and I pray that justice be given to this women for the sake of late Salome

“We were not there (when she was killed). She was in our family house in the village. But all I was told was that the family house was set on fire and when we asked about her, they said nobody can tell. They only found a burnt skull with ashes there.

“My mum was full of life and agile. She could be physically a woman but she was 10 men in a woman. She was a hospitable woman and lively. She was a mobiliser. She was a women leader for the PDP and she stood for PDP all the while. President Muhammadu Buhari, please arise for us. Don’t be comfortable on your seat. Let there be justice for Salome Abuh and the entire Abuh family.

Nigeria Needs Factories The Size Of Ibadan NOT Churches – DaddyFreeze Replies Pastor Adeboye

OAP, DaddyFreeze has countered 77-year-old General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who during the week, said one of the things he must do before he dies is to build a church as big as Ibadan city in Oyo state.

Preaching on the third day of the Holy Ghost Congress 2019 holding at the Redemption Campground, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Adeboye said he has a plan of building a church as big as Ibadan. According to him, no one should believe he is dead until that is done.

Freeze has now countered his dream. In a post shared on his IG page this evening, Freeze said what Nigeria needs more of now are factories and not more church edifice as she already has enough of that. Read his post and share your thoughts.

GOD DOES NOT LIVE IN HOUSES BUILT BY HUMAN HANDS!!!

This in my opinion, is a selfish ambition (scripturally selfish ambitions are in the same category as witchcraft and sexual orgies), that does nothing for Christians, rather I see it as a quest to turn believers into beasts of burden!

? Galatians 5:20 ?
New International Version
idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions

The more I think about it, the angrier I get. Adeboye wants to use 3,080 square kilometers to build a church or a bigger business center, which one???
???

In this poverty riddled land, with more people in extreme poverty than China and India combined (according to worldpoverty.io), couldn’t he at least have been a little more creative????

We need factories the size of Ibadan NOT churches, we have way too many churches already.
With 10 churches on each street, we have so much religion, so much hunger and underdevelopment yet so little love.?

WE ARE THE CHURCH, NOT A BUILDING, the church is not the ‘house of God’, it’s just a building and God does not live in temples built with human hands.

? Acts 7:48 ?
New Living Translation
However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says,

? Acts 17:24 ?
New Living Translation
“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples,

? 2 Corinthians 5:1 ?
New International Version
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

? Hebrews 9:11 ?
New Living Translation
So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world.

Impeachment: Trump Has High Chance In Office – US Senate Leadership

Published

impeachment

The US Senate leadership has stated that US president won’t be removed from office, as a result of ‘the weak case’ presented by the Democrat controlled US House Of Representatives.

The House Judiciary committee led by Democrat Jerry Nadler voted along party lines on Friday to submit two articles of impeachment against Trump and the US leader could be impeached as early as Wednesday next week.

Trump’s impeachment by the US House is as a result of a July phone call he made with Ukraine’s president Zelensky asking for investigation of his political rival Joe Biden in return for military aid.

The House could impeach Trump next week but the Senate led by Republican Mitch McConnell says the Democrats have no case and he will be working with the White House lawyers and the president to ensure a quick and smooth trial in the senate.

“The case is so darn weak coming over from the House. We all know how it’s going to end,” Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell said on Fox News program “Hannity.” on Saturday.

“There is no chance the president is going to be removed from office.”

McConnell also said he hoped that none of the members of his caucus would vote to remove the president from office, adding “it wouldn’t surprise me if we got one or two Democrats” to vote to acquit Trump .

He explained that the articles of impeachment would be different from ordinary legislation that makes its way from the House, in that: “We have no choice but to take it up. But we’ll be working through this process hopefully in a fairly short period of time, in total coordination with the White House counsel’s office and the people who are representing the president, in the way all of the Senate.”

Mitch declined to reveal what a Senate trial might look like or whether Republicans would call witnesses such as former Vice President Joe Biden, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., or the intelligence community whistleblower, whose complaint about Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky sparked the impeachment inquiry.

“I’m going to take my cues from the president’s lawyers,” said McConnell.

“My hope is that it will be a shorter process rather than a long, lengthy process.”
